Certification and declaration of conformity are mandatory steps for most categories of imported consumer and industrial goods. You can get a certificate or declaration only through an accredited body — and there are thousands of them in Russia, with different areas of accreditation, geography and specialization.
Before the launch of the service, finding a suitable body or laboratory was not a trivial task: the official registry on the Rosaccreditation website existed, but it worked as a database without a convenient filter. The new selection service is actually a registry search engine with filtering by the necessary parameters.
What can be found through the service
Testing laboratories are used to carry out physical, chemical, and electrical tests necessary for issuing a certificate or declaration. Certification bodies — for issuing certificates of compliance with EAEU technical regulations (TR CU) and GOST R. Conformity assessment bodies — for specific types of assessment, including metrological verification, calibration, and production control.
For a specific importer, this means: instead of calling friends and searching for "who makes a certificate for children's toys in Yekaterinburg" — a search in the registry with a list of accredited organizations with contacts.
When is this especially true?
The first scenario is to expand the product range. When adding a new category of goods that has not been imported before, you need to find an authority with exactly the right area of accreditation. The service reduces the search time.
The second scenario is the labeling of new categories. From September 1, 2026, labeling of coffee, tea, and perfumes will be introduced. For a number of items, declarations of conformity will need to be updated or confirmed. The service helps you quickly find a suitable laboratory.
The third scenario is a change of contractor. The current certification body has closed, changed its specialization, or lost its accreditation. A quick search for a replacement through the official registry.
